In the record

Royce’s schedule records 19 cessions that lie at least partly in New York, from 1784 to 1838, under 5 treaties, agreements and acts. The peoples named most often are Haudenosaunee (Six Nations) and Seven Nations of Canada.

The atlas records 5 broken treaty promises here, including Treaty of Buffalo Creek (1838): sale of Seneca reservations and the 1842 and 1857 corrections, Canandaigua 1794 and the Kinzua Dam (1958-1965) and Tuscarora and the Niagara Power Project (1960). Land has come back here: Oneida Indian Nation reacquisition and trust applications and Six Nations Iroquois Cultural Center buys Adirondack land.

Everything here is linked at state level only. The atlas does not look up addresses or parcels, and a cession touching a state does not tell you whose land a particular place is.
