In the record

The United States made one treaty or agreement that names Duwamish as a party: Treaty of Point Elliott, 1855.

C. C. Royce’s 1899 schedule records 7 cessions of land from Duwamish: about 6.6 million acres by this atlas’s estimate, counting overlaps once. 5 of them came through treaties made under documented pressure. The largest was Land of the Dwamish and Suquamish in Washington, ceded 1855 (area 347), about 6.6 million acres, ceded under Treaty of Point Elliott, 1855.

Today, Duwamish Tribe and Muckleshoot Indian Tribe carry this history, as their own pages or research records say. Land has come back: Real Rent Duwamish and Heron's Nest returned to the Duwamish Tribe.
