Support land return
This site takes no money. These are organizations we have checked, and other ways to help.
We put Native-led and tribally controlled efforts first. A gift to an allied organization is not a gift to a tribe, and we say which is which. Most tribal governments do not ask the public for donations; if you want to support a particular nation, ask it, or one of the Native-led groups below, what would help. Read our donation integrity policy.

Other ways to help
- Some Native hosts ask residents to pay a voluntary land tax or rent, such as Real Rent Duwamish in Seattle and the Shuumi Land Tax in the East Bay. Find out whether the people whose land you live on ask for this.
- Learn whose land you are on and what those nations are asking for, in their own words.
- Support policy: federal trust acquisition, co-management, and returns of public land are decided by people you can call.
- Give land. Some returns came from private owners and conservation groups.
Staying safe
Open donation links from the organization’s own website, and check that the payee matches the organization. If a link here looks wrong, tell us and we will take it down while we check.
