In the record

The United States made one treaty or agreement that names I-ka-ruck as a party: California Treaty R: Camp in Scott's Valley, 1851 (unratified).

The records group it with Shasta.

Written from the records linked here; open any of them for its sources. This is what the United States’ treaty record says, not the nation’s own account.

Ikaruck. Mentioned as a Shasta band of Shasta valley, n. Cal., in 1851, but it is really a man's personal name.
Research notes

Named in an unratified California treaty of 1851-52. People: Shasta (Shasta Valley). Candidate present-day communities (not verified this session; qvir.com returned HTTP 403): Quartz Valley Indian Community (Shasta and Karuk descent); Shasta descendants also at Siletz and Grand Ronde (Oregon) and in the non-federally-recognized Shasta Nation. OSU lists the Klamath Tribes (Oregon) as successor, which appears mistaken. [Hodge 1907-10 quote transcribed from archive.org OCR with obvious OCR errors corrected.]
