Research notes

Named in an unratified California treaty of 1851-52. People: Badwisha (Hodge: Mariposan/Yokuts; often classed as Western Mono). Hodge synonymy lists "Pal-wish-a" (Barbour). Signature block: "Pal-wish-a". Later ethnographers place Patwisha/Balwisha among Western Mono; affiliation uncertain.
