In the record
The United States made one treaty or agreement that names Ko-ya-te as a party: California Treaty B: Camp Keyes, Cah-wai River, 1851 (unratified).
The records group it with Yokuts. Today, Tule River Indian Tribe carries this history, as their own pages or research records say.

Research notes
Named in an unratified California treaty of 1851-52. People: Yokuts (Koyeti). Hodge synonymy lists "Ko-ya-tes" (Barbour). Same people as Co-ye-tie in Treaty C, which the Tule River Tribe says its ancestors signed (https://www.indian.senate.gov/sites/default/files/upload/9.6.16%20Kenneth%20McDarment%20Testimony.pdf).
