In the record
Set up as the Coeur d'Alène reservation in Idaho by an 1867 order, replaced in 1873; only small parts were later given up (an 1892 act and an 1894 agreement), and the reservation remains. The area covers about 538 thousand acres in what is now Idaho.
The 1899 record names Coeur d'Alene Tribe (Schitsu'umsh) as the people of this land.

Shapes come from C. C. Royce’s 1899 maps as georeferenced by the US Forest Service. They are approximate and are not legal descriptions of land. Royce recorded land the United States treated as ceded; the shape does not show a nation’s territory.
